The IBM Quantum Network

The IBM Quantum Network is a worldwide collective shaping the future of quantum computing. The 250+ partners in the Network include Fortune 500 companies, universities, laboratories and startups, all helping to build a quantum economy.

Partnership in the IBM Quantum network is an integral part of the experience for clients on the Premium Plan. This includes access to exclusive meetings and select channels where the latest ideas in quantum are shared. A few example meetings and events are:

The IBM Quantum Summit: An annual event at which the latest IBM Quantum releases and features are presented, as are groundbreaking developments from our partners. This was held most recently on November 9-10, 2022.

The IBM Quantum Partner Forum: A conference-style gathering of leadership from across the IBM Quantum Network, most recently held May 15-17, 2023 in Paris, France.

Teach the Researcher: A workshop for Network technical practitioners that focuses on a single topic in quantum computing. This was most recently held from June 14-16, 2023, virtually.

IBM Quantum Network partners collaborate widely even outside these events, and benefit from close working relationships with our in-house experts.

Giving context to quantum

Every partner in the Network is different, but some coarse-binned categories are useful for context, such as startups, global systems integrators, and large enterprises. Two other partner categories of note are Quantum Innovation Centers and Quantum Computation Centers. Throughout this course, representatives from across these partner types will help us contextualize key takeaways by sharing what a given lesson meant for their organization. Let's start with an introduction to these quantum leaders and their organizations, with the following video.

Speakers:

William Hurley (Whurley), Founder & CEO, Strangeworks

Julian van Velzen, CTO & Head of Quantum Lab, Capgemini

John J. Y. Kim, Ph.D., CEO & Founder, Korea Quantum Computing Co., Ltd.

Sean Dudley, Ph. D, Chief Research Information Officer & Associate Vice President, Arizona State University

Anil Prabhakar, Ph. D., Professor of Mechanical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology - Madras

Christian Sarra-Bournet, Ph. D, Executive Director, Institut quantique - Université de Sherbrooke

Giorgio Cortiana, Ph. D., Head of Data, Analytics and IoT – Energy Intelligence, E.ON Digital Technology GmbH

Michaela Albrecht, Head of Strategy and Architecture, Erste Digital
